When she graduated in 1992 Amanda Bossard began her research in marine biology at Anchorage from Alaska Pacific University. Bossard's career began in 1999, when she took a job on the F/V Sunset. It is a 65-foot halibut vessel was converted to a salmon tender by Murat Ariatn, who is a commercial fisherman for the past 20 years. Bossard and Aritan are now married and have come together to stake their claim to their respective industries. They support conservative and lucrative renewable resources for seafood management.
